JÓR SAXOPHONE QUARTET

The JÓR Saxophone Quartet is based in Denmark, and consists of four highly talented classically-trained saxophonists. Anja is currently teaching saxophone at the Royal Academy of Music in Århus.

All four are active soloists and chamber musicians in various contexts, and have played numerous concerts all over the world, including Norway, Sweden, Finland, Latvia, Italy, Spain, Slovenia, Russia, England and France, as well as in Japan and the United States.

In addition, they have won solo and chamber music competitions at home and abroad. In the fall of 2017, Jór was in the semi-final of the Danish Radio P2 Chamber Music Competition.

The quartet's repertoire consists of a wide range of music within the classic genre, ranging from standard works and transcriptions, to contemporary and more experimental music.
